Chocolate Kiss

Reformation Cello Knit Top in Brown Velvet

My first job out of college was at Barneys New York on 17th Street, where I met one of my first friends and co-workers— a girl my age named Linda, who was truly an enigma. She was of Chinese descent, spoke fluent Italian, and made it her mission to NEVER wear black. Because of this, the entirety of her wardrobe revolved around brown (admittedly, it was the mid 90’s and brown fashion was plentiful) but I never really felt like brown was me. I avoided that first-job-everyone-dresses-the-same phenomenon that inevitably happens and focused on building my stereotypical and decidedly black New York City wardrobe. Yet somehow all these years later, I’ve managed to remain sans brown in my closet (except for shoes, bags and belts) until now. So what better day to treat yourself to one of these scrumptious chocolate brown pieces than Valentine’s Day? And bonus! Less calories.
