Yes, this is our dog, Raphael-vis, on Halloween 2022. At that time Elvis was out in theaters, and we thought he was a dead ringer. But my bedazzling efforts turned out to be subpar. Sadly, the minute we arrived at the inaugural Beachwood Canyon Howl-O-Ween Dog Parade and Contest, Raphael rolled in the grass trying to release the elastic on his wig, simultaneously shimmied one arm out of his costume and emerged post-roll with gems stuck in his doodle curly hair from head to tail. There was a whole lotta shaking going on. The wig ended up on his rear end somehow and well, we didn’t win or even place. But as Elvis knew early on, it’s not Vegas without a little bedazzlement. So when heading to your Superbowl parties today, out-do Taylor Swift’s shine and pile on the rhinestones, sequins and feathers and embrace the tacky glamour of Vegas. And just like any good party, expect a few gems to end up on the floor and stuck in your hair.
