Phoney Baloney
For those of us who got a bit too comfortable working from home in pajamas, sweats or only getting half dressed for Zoom calls, there seems to have been a shift in getting dressed—or rather, not getting dressed—ever since. Hybrid work weeks have replaced the casual fridays of old and more often than not they involve some form of leisurewear. I have found myself in my own form of lockdown since June due to the work stoppage in Hollywood from the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, and have fallen right back into the same pattern of elastic waist, cozy-driven outfits each day. When I stumbled upon these faux denim 100% cotton Rag & Bone joggers (on sale for $108!) my daughter and I joked how they fooled us, as they look exactly like denim but they feel like sweats and have quickly become my favorite grab-n-go. They easily go from walking the dog to dinner out and are soft like lightweight sweatpants. They can be dressed up with a heel and chunky necklace, or with tennies and a sweater and now come in 4 colors as well as a non-jogger wide leg style. See our video on how realistic the detailing is and why we call them our phoney baloneys!
Other pieces I am loving for the transition to fall:
