Back in the early 2000’s when my husband and I were first dating, he took me to a party at his friend’s apartment on the Upper East Side where a girl neither of us knew was wearing a t-shirt that read, I Hate Kate Moss. The whole night it bothered me. On our way out the door and after too much cheap Chardonnay, I scanned the crowd and beelined it over to her and declared, “I fucking love Kate Moss.” then teetered as fast as my stilletos would allow, out the door. Years later, I still love Kate Moss. Her eclectic high-low style of daring to mix lace with rubber wellies, fur with denim, was revolutionary and something I am inspired by and follow today. So consider this post an homage to the great Kate.
