It isn’t officially fall until I hear the voices of Cris Collinsworth and/or Al Michaels coming from my television. Somehow over the years, I’ve developed a pavlovian response to their football commentating in the background of my life, thanks to my husband, which has manifested itself into real cravings for making chili, bundling up on the couch with an oversized blanket, and being ok with darkness as early as 4pm—all stemming from our life on the East Coast. Since living in LA, where football games start as early as 10am, fall isn’t quite at that level of cozy, at least not yet. Alas, I find myself instinctively adding deliciously decadent knits, tall leather boots and fuzzy coats to my cart for the fall that hearing those voices (three days a week?!) throughout my home, instantly conjures.
