The holidays easily trigger nostalgic, retro vibes of childhood homes with wood paneling, smells coming from the kitchen while paddling around in socked feet, everyone home. Since this holiday revolves around food, comfort and watching tv, it’s become customary for my family to get out and take an after dinner walk to extend time as a family, feel the crispness in the fall air and to stretch those muscles to get ready for the madness of Black Friday—the official kick-off to holiday shopping. But before you start finger calisthenics to prep for snatching those online deals, do take the time to hunker down and give yourself a little TLC, nourishment, and wrap yourself in a thick hug of a sweater—one that can be outdoorsy even if you are in, with cool retro Cowichan vibes (bonus points for a horse) and one that, of course, pairs well with your favorite elastic waist pants.
