Rain Gear
It rarely rains in LA. But when it does, it’s a multi day event. Most people hunker down and stay inside, off the roads to wait and see if the mud slides, if trees fall. Up here in the hills, both are commonplace. But just as LA always feels unprepared for rain, so do I. I have an old (the O.G. first iteration!) of black tall Hunter rain boots with a crack in the left foot that lets in enough water to soak my sock, and a Zara navy blue windbreaker with removable plaid vest liner that is now too small under my armits, but it is waterproof and has a hood. Neither great. So I started to look for what’s out there in rain gear and fell down a slippery slicker slope of stylish trenches, anoraks and boots. Here is what’s on my wishlist for the next downpour.
