Bandana Bonanza
Bandana pattern clothing and accessoires
Bandanas have been around forever but seem to be everywhere right now. Initially an Indian export (where it got its paisley pattern) the bandana solidified its American roots with Martha Washington’s commission of a printed scarf of her husband riding a horse—and has since adorned everyone from Rosie the Riveter to Tupac Shakur. They often either help to make some sort of statement or fulfill a need and have been used for everything from wiping noses and showing union solidarity to concealing a bank robber’s identity, showing gang affiliation or to simply tie up one’s hair. Today, classic bandana print can be found on more than just scarves and deserve to officially add runway ready to its resume.
